Kampar, a charming town in Perak, Malaysia, has a rich history that dates back to its establishment in the early 1900s during the tin mining era. It quickly became one of the leading tin mining towns in Malaysia, significantly contributing to the country's economic development. During the Malayan Emergency (1948-1960), Kampar was a focal point of conflict between Commonwealth forces and communist insurgents, highlighted by the fierce Battle of Kampar in 1949. This historical battle is remembered for its strategic importance and is a point of pride among locals.
