Tua Pek Kong Temple: Meet The God Literally

Hello everyone! Today, Moh ke Perak will suggest the most famous Chinese temple in Sitiawan: Tua Pek Kong Temple. Whether you are part of this culture or not, visiting this place can teach you a lot about Chinese culture, making it a fantastic travel destination!

This highly popular tourist temple, developed with an investment of RM12.5 million in 2014, boasts an impressive array of attractions. A lot of god statue are huge and magnificent. For example, the Tua Pek Kong (48-foot) statue and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva (33-foot) statue, Laughing Buddha (30-foot) are Malaysia's largest statue!

Futhermore, there are a lot of staue represent the heros from Chiniese culture, such as Guan Gong, the 108 Heroes of the Water Margin, and the Five Tiger Generals. Additionally, the deity Min Gong Dao Ming, legendary figures from the Investiture of the Gods, and four ancient beauties.

In total, there are over 280 legendary historical figures, creating a magnificent and impressive spectacle.


Furthermore, the temple management has thoughtfully provided detailed explanations of the legends and stories associated with each deity and historical figure, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese legendary figures and gods while praying and sightseeing.


Furthermore, the temple has also developed several areas themed around mythology, such as the "Dragon Palace," "Underworld Tunnel," Nine Dragons Playing with Pearls Pool, Moon Elder's Rock, Wishing Well, Lover's Bridge, and Marriage Stone. Each area is filled with different historical anecdotes and meticulously maintained by the temple, offering picturesque scenery ideal for leisurely strolls with the whole family.

We sincerely recommend visitors to explore the "Underworld Tunnel" located within the "Dragon Palace." Upon entering the "Gate of Hell" within the dragon's mouth, visitors will be greeted by lifelike and three-dimensional depictions of the 18 layers of hell, from the first to the eighteenth level, providing a fascinating yet spine-chilling experience.
