The history of Victoria Bridge dates back to 1879 when its construction began, and it was completed in 1900, making it 124 years old to date. Initially built to meet the transportation needs of the tin mining industry, it became Malaysia's earliest railway truss bridge.

Spanning across the Perak River, it has endured the test of time while retaining its original charm. Today, Victoria Bridge stands as an iconic landmark in Kuala Kangsar.

The railway tracks on the bridge were once bustling with running trains. Nowadays, it has become a must-visit spot for many to snap some photos!! However, when walking on the tracks, make sure to hold onto the handrails tightly and be cautious not to trip over by the sleepers.
