(Look closer, then you will find out some myth or legend in this model)
Kuan Yin Temple Kampar was built in 1904 and is now located in Kampar’s Old Town. This ancient temple is built against the mountain. The external structure of the temple adopts the design of Foshan, Guangdong, showing the characteristics of Guangfu! Therefore, colorful doors are also hung at the entrances of temples, which has the meaning of ”the gods are there when you raise your head three feet high“.
(This temple is full of cultural and classic designs related to Buddism)
In addition, the Kuan Yin Temple Kampar was jointly funded and built by a group of tin miners. The decoration inside the temple is also antique, and the beams and pillars are all made of wood. At the same time, many plaques commemorating the reign of Guangxu are also hung in the temple.
(There are Chinese characters on the roof, basically to worship how strong the god is)
Of course, the most important thing is the Guanyin Bodhisattva in the temple. The Kuan Yin was the first Buddha in the Temple and is deeply respected by the residents of Kampar! And when before the exam, many University students will go there to pray for success in their exam.
(Guan Yin, the Chinese character that means every wish will come true)
