Hello everyone, today we would like to introduce you to a fascinating natural wonder - Lata Kinjang Falls, a magnificent waterfall measuring about 800 feet in height, which attracts countless tourists to explore the charm of nature.
(Be careful while visiting here, safety first)
During the British colonial period, Kinjang Waterfall had already become a summer retreat for officials. Its original name derived from a Muntiacus muntjak known as Kijang, but due to the habit of British colonial officials, it was commonly referred to as “Kinjang”. The local government officially named it Lata Kinjang.

In addition, there is a legend that British merchants, to marry the fairy who guarded the Kinjang Waterfall, spent a huge sum of money to build cottages downstream of the waterfall. They also built steps along the path from downstream to upstream, so that they could stroll between the waterfalls every day, hoping to catch a glimpse of the fairy. This remains a beautiful love story passed down among the local indigenous people to this day.

However, this mysterious waterfall ceased to be mysterious two years ago when it was taken over by the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia. The authorities have gradually set up facilities such as restaurants, pavilions, and restrooms, developing it into a place for people to escape the summer heat and relax.
